“Dedicate yourself to what gives your life true meaning and purpose; make a positive difference in someone’s life.”
― Roy T. Bennett

As we continue to confront the coronavirus crisis, we look for ways to do our individual parts and bring change for the better through our aggregated efforts. Today, I’ve had a chance to catch up with Taylor White, our Regional VP of Sales, about his perspective on COVID-19, expressed in a WORD.

Here’s Taylor’s story on “Dedication.”

DEDICATION. I choose this word because it expresses how I feel towards people I love and people I care about.

When I first started to learn about the terrible coronavirus that’s been going around the world, many thoughts flashed across my mind. Every day, I think these thoughts.

Thoughts about people I love: my family, my parents.

Thoughts about people I care: my friends, everyone I work with.

My customers.

Thoughts about what I could do to help them: how could I make things good in a time that is bad.

I feel privileged to work at a company that is extremely dedicated to our core mission in helping customers:

Expanding their personalized message of empathy to their customers – during the COVID-19 pandemic, a crisis at a scale we haven’t seen in a long, long time;

Scaling personalized messaging quickly and yet keeping the cost low.

I wanted to help our customers send their message of empathy to their customers:

We are here for you.

We are here to help.

We are here to make things better.

Of course, the way I am able to help those around me does not come close to the way doctors, nurses and frontline workers triumph through such hard times in offering us comfort and positivity. But in a small way, I can help by being a part of a worldwide community. There is more strength in numbers to pull us through this crisis together.

I want to share a quote from someone I met today:

“No matter what, in the short term and even in the long term, optimism always beats pessimism. It takes DEDICATION towards each other to move forward and beat this horrible disease in whatever way you are able to help.”

Here at Jivox, it starts with our customers. And brands who are looking for solutions to quickly personalized their messaging during this pandemic — we are always dedicated to helping them.
